I was looking for used Redwoods to get an idea of value a few years out and I can't find any. Was 2012 the first year for them?

No, they started producing in 2010. The way that Redwood does their manufacturing dates if its produced in 2010 its a 2011. I believe Atom Ant can attest to that, also. His was produced in Feb/Mar of 2013 and is considered a 2014.

Yes, they changed year about mid month April, making ours a 2014. The original paperwork was 2013.

I always check used, and I did see one on a dealer lot, but hard too find as young as they are.

True, hoping that plays into our favor down the road when the day comes to sell it. I expect we'll fulltime for a couple of years and then buy a house again. Was just trying to get an idea what they might be worth 2-3 years down the road in case we have to sell. Who knows, we might just fulltime for many years to come!

lwg, We started full timing in 2002, not knowing for how long. Before we traded for the Redwood last year, I asked the wife how long she wanted to keep this life style. She answered as long as we can, so we went for the Redwood. We know some that tried full timing and found it wasn't for them, they needed the brick and mortar. It's an individual choice.

I think we'll love the lifestyle as we've always been "gypsies" at heart. The longest we've ever kept a house was 4 years and are always wanting to move to new cities. This will make the process much simpler and we can move as often as we like. We probably should've tried for a year in our current trailer first but at only 26' long and with me working from home, err, RV the space got very small very fast. That's what is so appealing about the 38BR, plus its actually nicer than our last house so I think we'll love it.

I, too, am a member of that "gypsies" family.
