transfer switch swap

hello
i have a 2015 39mb and was wondering if any one has switched out the
furrion F50-ats switch for Surge Guard* 50A RVC Automatic Transfer Switch – Model 40350 with the remote display.
figured it would add protection and be able to see amps and volts ect being used

this trailer is 3 weeks new to us

If not mistaken the "ATS" is the auto transfer switch for switching from generator to shore power &/or vice versa & offers no protection. Don't know if you'd wire the EMS before or after the ATS as I did not have either.
If adding a surge protector be sure it's also EMS so it protects from nearly every possible electrical issue not just surges.
There's several that have added the hardwired surge protector/EMS with display so I'm sure they'll be chiming in. I used the portable on my last 3 RVs.

i think the surge gaurd is booth ats and surge protection on each side
will look into that
