Too many buttons

I have a 2015 38RL and still trying to learn everything about it. Now I know why you should video tape when you're going through the PDI. I know this was shown to me, but for the life of me, I can't remember.

Inside the cabinet where all your gauges are, like water levels, slide buttons, etc.....I have a red toggle switch that has Start at the top and Stop at the bottom. There is also a gauge next to it that has ENM just above it.

Can anyone shed some light on what these are for?

Thanks,

Steve

That is the generator controls. If you have a GenSet, it will start from there and keep track of engine hours. If you don't have the GenSet, you do have the prep for it which makes it MUCH easier to add one later.
If you don't have the GenSet, those switches are just along for the ride.

Piper Guy......thanks for the info. Do you know if these switches will only work with a GenSet? Though I'm not ready to put a generator in this rig just yet, I don't want to create more work/expense by installing something other than a GenSet.

That's the wiring for the generator - doesn't go anywhere else or for any other purpose.

Please excuse my ignorance here, but when you say "GenSet", is that a particular brand of generator? If so, I was questioning whether these switches will only work with that brand of generator. I had considered getting an Onan and wanted to make sure these same switches would work with that as well.

Genset is a generic name for a generator, The switches will work for all types of generators. You may need different adapters to wire to the plug underneath. Typically an Onan Generator is used and it just plugs in

Ya it's plug and play tailored for the Onan.
