You can sell your E tires, don't know if you had to replace wheels, & recoup the price of a tire & half ($500+/-)! Just warn buyer to put them on a lighter rv.

I purchased my G14s and wheels from Trailer Tires and Wheels also. They are in Ohio and so am I. I was shocked when Fed-X showed up the next morning in less than 24 hours with my stuff.

I was lucky enough that I do have the upgraded rims already so that was a plus. The dealer said he would sell my old tires for me since he tows in a lot of RV blow outs in need of a single tire from the highway. Looked at my spare and it's a steel wagon wheel type rim with the Marathon E but I'll keep that for now.

OK, for over a year now I have researched tires to figure out why E, G's are failing. It has been six weeks in the body shop since the last one (total of 5-6 since purchasing the RW. Got it out of the shop Thurs and on the road for short weekend trip. Trip took 5 hours to drive doing 65mph with inflation at 110 (posted speed limit was 80). Sunday's return trip - another sidewall blowout and tire smoking worse than a Texas BQ pit. I am getting rid of the Goodyear G's and maybe the RW. I weighed it after the last one in April and still have around 3K to play with. My insurance carrier has to be getting upset with all the body damage claims. I know I am getting tired of changing tires.

Also, notice the woodwork is coming apart of the curbside slideout - little stapler staples not holding and wood trip strips coming off around the place as well, requiring some glue work on my part. Our Texas dry air and the factories, skimping on glue being the two factors.

Have you had the axles aligned? Have the bearings been checked? I wore the tread off one tire driving from Texas to Indiana, RW replaced tire & reimbursed me for an alignment, 2 years later & tires still in good condition. There has to be a problem causing your tire failure or everyone on these forums would be having the same issue.

I agree with travelin'texans. You could put H's and it will likely do the same thing!

I would agree that you have something wrong. I have a 36RE that weighs 15,500 with 12,200 on the axles. This is fully loaded including a full tank of water. Last spring coming back from Florida, I lost one of the E Marathons. Only had minor damage. I replaced them with G Goodyears and now also have tire pressure monitors.

I have no idea what caused my first failure. We made our second trip to Florida and back this year with no problems at all. I have no alignment problems. I run 100psi that the inflation tables call for and per my monitors, my tire temps are good. Up to 120 deg in the sun at 90 deg air temp.

Well RV dealer looked at the tire and believes the valve failed causing low pressure, that caused heat build up and boom. Ruled out the bearings, wheel, brakes (makes sense since no problem once we put the spare on for next 200 miles getting home). Will take the tire to my Goodyear dealer and see what he says. Thought about metal valve stems the last time and may go that route before looking at "H". Also get the suspension and brakes looked at. All these tire failures had to be caused by something. Trailer weight is 8800 lbs with my normal load out. RV is a 2013 and I have no more than 5000 miles on it. Longest trip was to Houston from Lubbock and back when I first got it. In any case, will spend the money for a TPS system as well for the RV and truck.

If you add the tire pressure monitors (which I highly recommend) be sure they have the metal valves stems (highly recommend with or without monitors)
as the weight of the sensor will eventually break the rubber stems.
The TST monitors also give temperature reading along with pressure & as Markw stated mine run in 125 degree when it's 90+ outside.

OK, I'm hopeing for a typo, as what RW has a weight of 8800 Lbs?????????????????
There isn't an RW that has left the Factory totally empty and dry that is any where near that weight.

Duh.... Trailer axle weight was 11440, drive axle 6700 and steer axle 4600. Pickup empty was the 8440.

Taking RV to another dealer in town Monday morning to get suspensions, brakes, bearings etc. checked. Doing 60 in an 80mph Texas Highway is really slow motion, but is less stressful than worrying about tire blowouts. Going with metal valve stems and TPS as well.

If adding TPS to your truck be sure it has metal valve stems also.

Goodyear stands behind their product. After our blowout and $10,000 worth of damage from the Goodyear Marathon E rated tire, I was just informed that Goodyear has paid the ENTIRE repair bill. Now there is a company worth doing business with. And I have, putting a new set of Goodyear 614s on!

Well said Brad. When the 614's on ours wear out, presuming we still have this RL, there will be new wheels and H 114 Goodyears going on it. At that point I'll quit spending money on the suspension. Lol !

Gotta say though, don't regret a penny of the IS and the Disk brakes.

Looking at new unit. H rated for sure. Not sure I would spend the 3k for IS until I have a problem. Disc should be standard on a unit like this.
