Swintek bounce

We've been told when we bring the bedroom slide in and out to hold the button for a count of 3 whether in or out. We got to the rig Thursday evening my wife was putting the bedroom slide out. I was watching it to make sure nothing gets in the way. The slide gets to the full open position and my wife yells 1 2 3. I watch the slide get pulled all the way out and as she let go of the button it seemed to bounce back into the room 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch. I watched it twice it did it both times. Anyone one else notice this? It seemed normal as it compresses the gasket and then it pushes back.

Ya mine does that, both ways. Seems normal to me. I don't necessarily count to 3, just until it peaks out then I let go.

LCI rep was at the rally...
On the bedroom [Schwintek] you hold the button in for 3-5 seconds AFTER the slide reaches full open/close.
On the main slides [hydraulic] you release the button AS SOON AS you hear the motor pitch change.

Mine still has issues. If I don't push in heavily(I'm big at 6' 4") the slide will always leave a 1/2" or more gap at the front of the slide between the seal and the wall. I mean every time, we also hold the button down for 5 seconds each way. It's like the forward motor is too weak or something.

If its new, take it to the dealer for a check.

Based on the number of posts you've made I assume you've had the rig for awhile, is this a new problem or has it been that way for awhile?

You may need to lubricate the slide???

NOTE...the LCI rep told me I've been lubricating mine the wrong way. I was told to lubricate the four tracks on the slide itself...WRONG!!!

Here is a link to the proper procedure, it shows it on a Winni but the procedure is the same for any Schwintek. The video does not bent ion the lower roller which is under the lower track on each side.

It's exactly one year old, taking it to the dealer tomorrow for its first annual inspection.

Tired of the dealers telling me I'm not holding down the button long enough. I'll probably get a mobile tech to come out once we settle in Phoenix for the winter.

At least I can get it closed with some muscle for now.

As stated in another post, lubricate slides then run them out about 2-3" & back in 2-3 times. That's how the service center cured mine, I was also using muscle til then, been working great for a year now. By the way don't forget to hold the button down, LOL!

Stupid question, I assume your starting from a properly closed slide? I might give this a try today as we're in for our annual inspection so it will be easy to do once we get finished with that.

Mine did the same as yours, between 1/2-1" gap on one side when closed, that's how service center tech cured it.

For some reason the link won't work on my computer. Can you give me the web address?

Holy crap. I was lubing the rail thinking that was where it needed it. Thank you so much, maybe mine will work the next time now.

That was my monthly task, lube those rails and just before a trip. Thank goodness I haven't had any issues yet. Going to do them the correct way this weekend. Thank you for the link.
