Sling TV

Has any of you ever considered this as an alternative to satelite tv. My question would be are you able to get a good wifi connection in order to receive it in most rv parks?

There is no such thing as good Wi-Fi in most parks. You can add some booster antennas that help. We added one last year at the Rally from Eric that works very well.

Thanks for the reply. That pretty much answers my question.

I have a sling box, i assume that is the same as sling tv ?? You do need decent wifi for it to work properly, if not the picture is funky. . . Noe to mention the band width that you will use in 1 evening of tv watching. . . .

Streaming over wifi is probably the largest hog of bandwith - I don't think I have found a park yet that can support it. At least for now - satellite and over the air antennas are the way to go, however with the expansion of streaming in the sticks and bricks I'm a little nervous about satellite's future.

Brad, I share your concerns, but hope satellite stays around for many years as there are those of us who live in the sticks. Maybe streaming will advance to the point that they can service the sticks, but for now we'll rely on Sat for TV and our Celluar jet Pak/MiFi for limited internet access.
