roof tape and self-leveling sealer. clean the area with mild solvent like denatured alcohol. applied the roof tape and roll it for a good bond then cover the edge with self-leveling. the self-leveling sealer helps stop the edge at the end from rolling up when the slide seals rub on it . just done go crazy with the self leveler , very small amount!

I’ve repaired a roof tear by working the tape inside the tear then taped off the area outside and used Hengs sealant, painted it on let it dry then reapply a couple of times.
Never had a problem. You could put the tape on the outside also. I was trying to get a smooth finish on the tear. Anyway, good luck on your repair.
