Well it's our 5th time we extended this awning out in total and in one month and when you retract it it just barely moves. Any suggestions on what I can do to fix this

We have controls both inside and outside in the basement. The inside control works normally both extending and retracting, but the basement most times won't retract the awning.
We have replaced the switch so suspect the wire is too small.

We only have one location for the awning switch. Like I said before. It was working like a champ till our 4th to 5 th time

I had the same thing. My38RL is just a month old. It acts like the slides on the awning is catching a little so I put some white grease in the tracks and it helped a lot. Also I don't extend it fully which has helped. It did not solve the problem but I was thinking some more use would break it in better. Looking for a better solution.

A lot of folks here say the wiring is too small. I have not tried to confirm that. I suspect it is more likely poor crimping of the terminals onto the wiring at the various switches and source connections. I had that problem early on with one of the switches. The Amish folks are good carpenters but not very good electricians.

get your ladder out and take the plug off and re-insert...
ours vibrated loose even though it is a twist and lock type connector...
and yes, they are so slow if a big wind came up they would not come in quick enough to stop any damage ....
very poor motor or connections or design

Same issue here as well. It is very, very slow. Hit or miss if the switch in the basement works. New switch in the basement and didn't help. Heaven forbid we get another derecho wind come through, would never get it in in time. Our wiring in the basement was not small gauge wire either.
