A wiring diagram would be fantastic to help troubleshoot cable/antenna issues. Please forward to

Thank you

Hi i'm new to the Redwood forum. I'm having the same problems with my satellite cables too. I just pick up my 201336RL this last weekend and none of the tv's work with satellite or antenna. If someone could send me a drawing of the cables it would be great. I called Redwood on Monday and today and have talked to two different people that said they would e-mail drawings to me and nothing has came. If someone can help me i would appreciate it.dennislcausey@aol.com Thanks Dennis

Recommend you return your coach to your dealer and make them fix this issue. They are responsible to ensure your TV services work prior to your acceptance. We had Lazydays in Tampa review all of our drops, install a satellite and we set up a TV for each drop and tested each one during our acceptance inspection. Just my opinion.

Keep us posted if you get a wiring diagram, as we too are going to have to figure it out. We asked the Dealer to install the antenna, and I'm bringing the receiver so I assume it will at least work.

I have seen the satellite prep with two coax on the roof and two at the convenience panel, plus a cable TV hookup a the convenience panel in the street side cabinet. The main TV has 3 coax bundled. There are 3 TVs as well. I have no idea how they are going to hook it up. I'm hoping I can continue to use my Duo-Tuner in the living room, because I really don't want to have to put another receiver in the bedroom. Who knows...Edited by: atom ant

As far as the two cables on the roof go one is going to the bedroom the other to the entertainment center if you have a DVR you need the Sat splitter. The outside port on the left side is for a carry out or any dish on a stand it goes up to the entertainment center also and the port inside the basement curbside marked Sat is same deal any of the ports marked tv go up to the bedroom

I'm about to get satellite this weekend and I'm going to have to purchase an antenna for the roof. It needs 110v to operate. Is there 110v on the roof ?

Okay. I saw the two white caps on the roof but didnt open them. I assume one of them is a 12v for the antenna ? I've never had satellite tv before. The antenna that comes on the roof for local channels works but we rarely watch local channels. Bye bye uverse

I believe there are 3 in the curb side cabinet convenience center, 2 are marked satellite and 1 marked cable. Do these 2 satellite cables go to the same place as the rooftop cables?

On mine and it was built mid September 2012 there were only two RG58 cables at the roof and that's all you need you can use a multi switch at the inside end and have 2,3,4 or more outputs I have seen some with three cables at the roof! There are always at least two on the roof one for the bedroom and one for the convenience center if I remember right the Sat control cable is under a cap and its kind of square and has five or six wires its of no use if you don't use a wineguard dish

Wow - hold on. You are saying the control cable was pulled up there? That might make it worth me trying to install the SK-1000 myself. It was the control cable that made me hesitate, because I could only see the two coax.Edited by: atom ant

Our 36RL came with the control cable taped to the two coax's about about six inches under the cap too. Be warned though, the coax's have splitters in them. So if you are going to get directv, you will likely have to run dedicated coax's as Directv needs-95dbm of signal strength to close the loop. Suggest that on your order form you specify single coax's be run without any splitters or connectors, except at the ends of the lines.

That's great news. We use Dish

These were the three coax inputs I was pointing out from the convenience center, in the upper right. 2 side by side and 1 below.

The two upper ones must go to each room as well, with the third being?

Believe it's a landline telephone connector. Where it goes I haven't a clue. However, the control cable I was referring to is on the roof.Edited by: Adamsvr

In my RL, the 2 side by side both go the living room and bedroom. I have Dish with a DVR. TV1 is hooked to 1 jack and TV2 is hooked to the other. I just put the cooresponding tv on the jack and there it was. I believe tht hte jack below is from the antenna.

The two side by side SAT IN connections in the "basement" are for bringing the two coaxes from a tripod mounted dish or some other external satellite source into the coach. The single connection below them is for park cable or a similar source.

It is my understanding that the units are pre-wired for the Winegard Traveler dish for either DIRECTV or for Dish and two coaxes on the roof are standard as well as the power cable for the control box that converts 110V to 12V to operate the dish on the roof. Before purchasing the dish be aware that they are service specific--either DIRECTV or Dish, but not both.

Also, I learned too late for me that if ordering a unit, you can request additional coax runs to the basement TV area or other locations if you wish to use more than two satellite receivers.

Although our 36RE is still at the dealer, during our pre-payment inspection last Saturday, I noticed that the other end of the control/power cable for the Traveler boxis in the bedroom cabinet next to the BR TV. Not a problem, but I expected to find it in the entertainment center in the living area.

The dealer is installing our dish for DIRECTV now so I will know more soon.

I called Redwood and they said there's a cover plate on the roof for the Wineguard (pre-wired) so I'll get up there after work cause I didn't see it last time I was up there. Terry from Redwood said it's easy to instal so I'm gonna do it myself and if I have any problems just call him. If there is a plate it should be easy enough. I'm pretty handy with my hands.
