Roof Vent Cap

Hello all...its been a long time!

We have a 2012 36FL....I recently lost a cap to one of the 6" +/- roof vents...I attached a photo. As I have found with anything Redwood, it is not easy to just go to any RV store and get a part. Does anyone have an easy way to get one of these....and any part in the future? We are no longer under warranty and do not have a Redwood Dealer within 300 miles. Any ideas?

I didn't get a part number, but when we lost one of ours, I couldn't get anything from redwood. I ended up searching for mushroom vent cap and got one from tinka.net. It just screwed on. I'll see if I can get a link for you.

Oh....so you just twist on to that screw?

I was going to go down to Camping World....but it is probably not anything in stock. I might check another store around here though....if not I'll order one. Thanks for the link!

Seems that to avoid that problem, RW no longer installs any attic vents, at least there aren't any on our 39MB.

I thought the attic vents were installed to prevent mold and moisture build up when using Batt Insulation in the roof area.
I know other manufactures use roof vents on their RVs with Batt Insulation.
Our last SOB did not have Roof Vents but it had solid block Styrofoam in the roof cavity, not the Batt type insulation that Redwood uses.

I agree Rob, Most manufacturers still use the smaller mushroom type plumbing caps for the plumbing vents as well as the roof vents. Most people wouldn't know if a vent was for a plumbing vent or a roof vent by just looking. But most roof vents are in the far front and far rear of the roof to get rid of that extra moisture, usually close to down the middle of the coach.

That is where our roof vents are, one at the front and one at the rear of the coach.
