Cool Roof Access Ladder Issue

Does anyone know if the roof access ladder on the back of the RW is supposed to have the capability of shifting to lay flat against the back of the trailer? The bottom two connections look like it is supposed to do that but the top one is fixed. We are trying to install a cargo bag/bike carrier on the back using the hitch and the ladder is preventing us from doing that.

I don't think it is supposed to lie flat.

You will probably need a hitch extender to be able to clear the ladder, no it does not fold.

The hitch extender works great but make sure you get the square u-bolt that locks the joints. If you don't after about 5,000 miles or so you will notice the pin hole will oval out. It moves side to side and creates wear. Other option which I plan to do is utilize the small square tube stock they used to mount the hitch on the RW. I am going to run two smaller lengths of square tube out to support the carrier and eliminate movement.

It's on my list but not finished yet.

That's because you shouldn't be hanging your Harley on it
It will wear it out in no time
