Residential refrigerators

We are going with the residential refrigerator in our 38GK. Is it all set up for the DC/AC? Is there anything special we have to do?

Residential Refer,

Our Residential Refer doesn't seem to need any special care and feeding. This is the first coach we've had with Residential Appliances, to my surprize things remain cold while traveling down the road with no issues. I guess the only thing you should concern yourself with is whether or not you have adequate enough frosty beverages or steaks to fill that beast

Good idea, any day with an adult beverage is a good day. Thanks

Keep in mind the residential package comes with a 1000w inverter from the factory. Non residential packaged units do not.

We have had ours for a very short time and so far, very pleased. We have only travelled once and did have the doors and drawer open. We have looked into latches to keep it closed but what caught our eye, was a simple sheet of ply, cut in an upside down U, so it would fit through the door handles and extend down to hold the freezer in place. Looks like a simple design so I plan on giving it a try.

Ingenious ! and you could pad it so it wouldn't scuff the polished finish...

Even extend it to stop the this from happening
(course getting them to anchor the fridge so it won't tilt and hit the island would probably be better !)
