Rear Camera Mounting - High vs Low

I posted a few days back about “Rear Camera -- Pulling Wiring Harness”.

Thinking some more about it, is there a benefit of mounting the Ford camera at the factory high location, or would it be just as good or better to mount it lower?

It certainly would be easier to mount it and fish the wires from a location below the rear windows....

I don't think you will get as good a view if not up by the marker lights
Minr is up top and gives a great view of everything behind the trailer

I agree with Shane,

Mine is at the top and also gives a great view of anything I need to see back there.

Be sure it's below the clearance lights! If above with the camera aimed downard all you'll see is the glare from the light.

You lose depth perception if your not looking down from above. Think about it. Also good advice Danny. I’llbet a few people didn’t think about those clearance lights until after they drilled the camera hole.
