Portable macerators

I have an old flojet that was used a few times years ago.. it was given to me and I am not sure it is up to the task?? I hooked it up to power, and it sounds weak, the impeller and blades are turning just not sure how fast... The motor while in my hand does not seam to have a lot of torque.. perhaps thats normal?

Not looking to have an issue when I need it, so I may be getting another..

I generally use hook ups, but the few times it was used, I needed a 50’ run uphill..

What is the best, Sanicon, flojet, other ????

Thanks in advance

Most macerators will have to be maintained regularly (especially if the occupants still think they are in the S&B like my wife !)

The impellers will get clogged up with 'stuff' and need to be cleaned...

So, I've actually gone away from our built in macerator for that and a couple of reasons...

IMHO, it's no more convenient than the slinky stinky,
takes up a lot of room in our wet bay,
it's slower evacuating the tanks (meaning does it really clean out completely at that slow a rate)

IF you MUST go uphill though, it is your only choice, and going uphill defeats the positive feature of allowing the bypass of liquids when tank valves are closed...

soooo, I like the WHOOSH from the 3 inch outlet more than the sanicon.

good luck in your decision..

Thanks for the words... It is NOT by choice.... I have only needed a macerator 1 time in all my years of camping...

I MAY have the chance to score a great NEW site for the weekend at Richmond Raceway that has 50amp,water, sewer.. BUT they are Class A only at this point.. I know the Prez and he is thin king about allowing me access for the April weekend... That would meen that my hookups would be on the wrong side ( according to the preliminary drawings).. I have PLENTY of potable hose, I also have 2 of the 50 amp X 15’ extension cords so good there...
