Brad ~ I did that last year. Makes life a whole lot easier behind the counter. Replaced the ones you're talking about. Took maybe 20 minutes to do all including the adjustments.

Vaughan, did you use the Blum hinge? I just don't want to have to cut anything on the door.

Not 100% sure which hinge model Redwood uses but it is made by Decorite. Models C-1710, C-1720 or C-1730 are the ones they use. 170 degree clip on concealed hinge. See page 75 of their catalog which is page 82 of their .pdf catalog.

Chris

Advanced Affiliates in Goshen, IN is their Distributor. But they only sell WHOLESALE. Sorry, please don't bug them with requests. I suggest contacting Tiara RV in Elkhart for these hinges.

Here's what I just bought & they said they would ship. They fit the same holes on mine & took only minutes to install & adjust all 3 on the pantry.

I replaced my sink cabinet door hinges when I installed the dishwasher. I ordered the short doors from my dealer (Redwood), and then installed them on the short doors. You need a 35 mm bit and hinge jig I bought with the hinges from Woodcraft. I'll see if I can attach a pic

If you're using the same short doors, obviously you can reuse the existing holes. My short doors came with no holes to mount hinges.

I can't tell you how much more convenient the 170 degree hinges are on these two doors to get stuff behind them. Don't know why they don't come with them in the first place. Definitely worth the expense.

Brad - I took a closeup picture of the hinge on the pantry door and sent the Service Center an email asking to purchase 6 of them. I'm guessing now you could do the same with Tiara RV

I have to try them for my oven vent flap, maybe I'll get the hinges. One of those Nebraska winds that took my screen room also sent my flap flying into another campers site. He brought it over and said it had to have come from mine because of the black metallic paint.

I lost my oven flap last week & one of the neighbors said the same thing "it matched your paint", the new one doesn't, it's tan so not as noticeable as white.

Hmmm, I just ordered from Tiara, and the gal said mine would be black. She said the same style, but not the original white. I'm hoping I can just replace the flap so I don't have to paint.

Also ordered 8 hinges for the pantry door (170 degree). They were only like $8.52

PS - thats funny you had the same situation

I thought the price for the hinges I bought was very reasonable, found them on the internet from $5 - 26 each. My difficulty was trying to match the stile mounting side of the hinge as there are lots of choices, but those matched perfectly.

Are we talking about the exterior flapper? If so when I unlocked mine , the flapper fell out.. It has 2 pins that it pivots on and 1 was broke.. I ordered from Tiara and received the entire vent for $8.52 + shipping... easly replaced the flapper ONLY without removing the entire vent cover

Yep that was exactly what happened. The pin broke. Hopefully its a like for like so I can just replace the flapper. It threw me off a little when she said it would be black, because my original one was white. I'm just hoping it's the same style.

Received mine , and it was exact... she said all I would have to do was have it painted... I laid the old flapper next to the new flapper and used spray to match. ( dark grey & silver in my case).. The outside fixture was sealed with clear sealant,,, I had to take an exacto knife gently around the 2 sides to separate , remove the 2 lower ( painted) screws and the outside door flips up gaining access to the flapper... placed the new one in and put clear sealant around the 2 sides then closed it up.. once I put the 2 screws in the sealant weeped out , I used my finger to assure it was uniform up and down.. done !
here is the old....

A very cool! Mine is all black in space anyway, so I shouldn't need to paint the flap.

I wonder IF this is a part that Redwood should start to follow ?? If there have been that many flappers lost , that should give them ammunition to go to the vendor and demand better products.. It will make the product that much better in the long run.. ??? Maybe they should place that on their watch list?

Consider it "on the watch list" :-)

I'm going to take it to the GM and let him know this has been a reoccurring issue. Thanks for shedding some light on this!
