That looks awesome! Tell us about how you mitigated the transition from the slide floor to the wood floor. Can't tell from the pic.

Its that new stuff. Vinyl. Really nice. Looks great, supposed to be waterproof, lightweight and if you need to replace one you peel it up and lay a new one.
Cuts with a utility knife or scissors and very flexible

I left the carpet under the couch and just cut the carpet along the bottom where it meets the floor and butted the wood up against. Ill need to put a moulding down o cover the carpet edge. I'm going to try to install it so that it moves with the slide so I don't need to worry about sliding over the moulding .
Also need to put moulding along the cabinets and fireplace and some type of border around the hearth panels.
The wood fit perfectly against the kitchen tiles.
As far as the chair slide goes, I haven't finished yet but after the carpet was remove there is a hard black plastic muolding. On the floor I butted up against the moulding, on the slide I'm going to bring the edge right out even with the edge of the slide. The vinyl material is a very dark grey and should blend well. That's the only part I'm concerned with. Ill post more (sideways ) pictures next week

ichabod - glad to help -
there are many ways to rotate pics, but one is open the pic with paint and there is a 'rotate' option like so:

Nice job! We ordered our 36RL without the living area carpet. One word of caution... while traveling with the slides in, they tend to move around on the surface of the flooring. Over time we've noticed wear on the area where the edge of the slide sits in transit. Fixed that by using a couple of small rugs that we strategically place between the lip of the slide and the flooring as protection. That seems to have at least slowed the process.

Your floor looks great! Like the hearth! We ordered our's with no carpet or Lino.
and put the vinyl flooring in.
Word of caution! Make sure you sweep VERY WELL before putting slides in.
The dealer did not and we have a few scratches. The rollers picked up some sand and marked the floor. We had this in our kitchen at home and still looked great after two years.

Don - would think slide slickers might help protect the finish...
