We are going to the Baloon Festival in New Mexico this fall with Fantasy Tours. Really looking forward to the trip, will also tour the Southwest when we are there.

About how much is a "chunk of change" for the IS only. I have already upgraded to disc brakes. Does the IS raise the overall height of the coach? I already can just barely get my RW in the garage.

The 8K iS will run about $3,750.00... as far as the height, they measure your trailer to check for level.. They will only raise if the the trailer needs to be level...

IF your RW is running nose High right now, they would add a sub frame while doing the install. Mine was 1-1/2”.

We pulled the trigger and having the 8k IS installed just before the rally. As for height, Our unit was running nose high even with our trucks hitch at it's lowest position. We had a service center raise the pin box on the RW up one bolt hole to level everything out. We still have plenty of clearance to the truck bed on our stock 2013 Ram 3500 DRW 4x4 and didn't add any hight to the coach.

Ford Truck Guy: I would have to ask when did you have the IS system installed on your Redwood? And was that including the DISC Brake system also?

The Quote I got from Rob at Morryde was $ 6700 and change, paying taxes on only the parts, not the labor! Plus, I'm having them install TIMKEN Bearings and a Quick Lube 8K Axle, plus a Titan Brake Controller as well.

Appreciate a reply back.

Thanks,

JT

Blenhardt: You may want to call ROB at Morryde and ask about adding the IS system with your current DISC Brakes. I think, and I might be wrong, but the IS system may not be compatible with your Disc Brakes, unless they are morryde Disc Brakes.

Give Morryde a call or Email their Service department and ask the question.

Rob Kolean is the Service Manager and will give you an answer, including pricing!

We just scheduled with him this past week. We have the factory disc brakes already and he said they will have to see if the existing axle end of the system could be adapted but the piping and pump should work just fine. Our estimate was about $3,800 (not including tires and rims) but might vary depending on what they can use of the existing system.

They've done enough Redwoods, you would think they would know if your OEM disk brakes would work.

I had mine installed in June of 2016... There is a flyer on “the other site” of Rally discounts from Morryde... the cost of $6700.00 sounds like the complete system including disc brakes...I already had disc brakes, thanks to Ron AKA Titan Guy...

Ford Truck Guy: Yes, that is for the whole system with Brakes and I asked for the US made Timken Bearings and the Titan Brake Controller!

The really nice thing about Morryde is that this system comes with a 5 year warranty and their customer service is outstanding!

That is on par with their advertised rally discounts for the complete system... I attached a screen shot of the rally flyer.. You will not be sorry you made the upgrade, including disc brakes..

This is gonna be a working mission coming up at the end of June! Morryde for the IS Upgrade and then over the PRO CUSTOM Paint to fix a Ding in my Redwood. 2 day repair on that. So, I'll be busy.

Morryde for the IS

We already had the OEM Disc Brakes on our '12 36RL and the only thing Mor/ryde had to change was the mounting plate for the calipers to match the Mor/ryde Hubs.
Mor/ryde did ask if I had a problem with them re-routing the brake lines since the RW Factory did such a poor job routing them out of the way of everything.

Same as us, but we had the Titan disc brake package. MorRyde still asked us if they could reroute some of the brake lines.

Our 340RL that is being built will have the upgraded 8k axels and disc brakes. My question is my coach will have MORryde LRE/4100 suspension system included. Is this the suspension I should get or is there an ungraded version to this? Also,
What is the cost of the IS system?
Thanks

We have a 2018 340RL that is scheduled for an upgrade to the IS with the folks at Hendersons Line Up in Grants Pass. Already put the disk brakes on. Probably the best time to do it as it's being built.
