Has anyone had trouble as not having any low level drains? Went
to winterize mine today and wanted to drain all the water out of the hot &
cold water lines and could not find any drains underneath. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" />

I had a fresh water tank drain and an overflow tube that
when you fill your fresh water tank it can create a siphon and drain a lot of
your water back out but no other drains.

On my RL, they are underneath, directly belowthe connection center. If you look in the water filter access door in the basement, you should be able to see them (hot, cold) exiting the floor.

Redwood has a fix for the siphon problem, It involves running a flex hose from theoriginal overflow outlet on the water tank, back up through the floor into the basement (behind the connection center), then back down through the belly-pan (creating a loop large enough to break the siphon). Contact Tech Support or have your dealer call them.

On our 13 RL there are no hot and cold water drains, just the fresh water. No overflow either. Not sure where the over flow tube is. There is only the one hose coming through the belly pan.

Mine actually has two. The one towardthe front with the blue PEX hose and valve is the fresh water drain. The one towardthe rear with blue PEX hose is the fresh water tank overflow. Perhaps yours might be somewhere else - as they were redesigning to prevent the siphoning issue.

The low-point drains on mine are outboard of the frame rail - so they are not covered by the bellypan.Edited by: 5th_Time

Anyone found a diverter for water filter? Makes sense to use it during winterization.

It's not a big of deal.....I just winterized mine yesterday. I removed the filter and dumped the water out it (make sure your pump is off) and then started my winterizing. I ended up using about 5.5 gallons including doing the washing machine which I wasted a lot of antifreeze in and the ice-maker.

Take special note not to walk away from the washing machine to fetch a hot cup of coffee while it's filling with antifreeze. Dumb...very dumb on my part

You want to remove the filter when winterizing (made that mistake once). Run pink through everything or you may be surprised in the spring when you re-energize.

I found it easiest to dump all the antifreeze into a 5gal water bottle (the type for spring water). Then, you can winterized without that stop/start which puts air in the lines. If you have washer, dishwasher & ice maker, it'll use 6 gals so add 6th gal before the 5gal bottle gets too low.

I can sure picture me doing that. Better than leaving the black flush running with the valve closed I guess.

Easy for you to say, you live in Texas. My wife is visiting with our first, new grandchild in San Antonio. She calls me every day (my wife, that is) and says c'mon down, it's in the 70s. Last night here in Joisey it was 28*.

Can't wait. Our first trip out will have to wait until Easter weekend. In the meantime, I practice hooking up and pulling the coach out onto the driveway.

It's not a bad idea to pull the new trailer around town or on short little 50 mile jaunts to get used to it before having to go through a tight campground. I also played with the leveling system to get familiarized with it.

Congrats on your new trailer
