I just mount two upright running chainsaws on the upper corners of the Redwood and tow a running wood chipper behind it to catch the debris.

Kind of a noisy entrance, but I try not to pull in after quiet time

I mostly stay in State Parks, but have sniped a few limbs now and then. I park it at my home, but the neighborhood is pretty good to get in and out of.

You're right, but they might end up in a legal battle if one of their low lying limbs takes out an air conditioner or puts a hole in roof. When they tell me their campground can accommodate me and they charge me the price, I don't expect to cut their limbs for them.

My neighborhood is getting tighter and tighter. I have only one way in now. I have written the city and they said they cleared them, but to be honest I think they would just as soon I didn't bring it in. They like their trees better.

Wouldn't they clear them for the trash trucks? Those things get pretty tall!

I think the trash trucks just plow through them, and if the limbs don't break, the clearance is still compromised, or worse, if they do break then that is a jagged edge waiting for my roof.

At the entrance to my neighborhood, I actually have to cross into oncoming traffic because there is a tree that covers the entire lane and it is 9' clearance underneath. Not even sure how the UPS guy gets buy. But it is a beautiful tree (just in the wrong place) and if they cut it for me my neighbors would throw me out.

Are you sure your mailing address isn't Boulder?

They started this morning with my RV Armor Roof. He used a chemical to clean it first and then put a epoxy base for the first coat, he comes back this evening for the gray coat. then tomorrow he puts the final white coat on about 1:00. The weather is sunny and warm in Baton Rouge, perfect weather conditions. He has two in East Texas right after ours.

Keep us posted on how satisfied you are with the product. I've been wondering about that roof for a long time but I've never known anyone who actually had it done. Do they put their product over the alpha roof or do they remove the roof membrane first?

I would think that it is applied on top of. There's only plywood under the membrane which is glued on. The membrane has a fabric backing to which the glue adheres to. I had a new roof put on this year due to a tiny hole which caused the plywood to fail. They had to put luan over all the plywood after being fixed and then put on the new roof membrane.

They put it over, all the way to the drain. Its lifetime in writing for the roof and labor. I'll keep you'll posted. Calling MOR/ryde in a few to get a price on the IS suspension/disc brakes and bearings.

I recently talked to a fellow with an Excel Limited Edition & it had fiberglass roof, he said for a short while they put the bedliner type roof on them & warranteed it for life, but the manufacturer of the spray would only honor it for 5 years, so for now they only spray the bottom front of the coach (genny door area) to prevent chipping. I am going to have that portion sprayed on mine later on, looked very nice & mine is getting chipped up.

Danny ~ I'm working with a fabricator to make thin Brushed Stainless panels for the front that would go on with 3M adhesive. Hope to have pricing nailed down in about a week if that would interest you. I'm doing it for the same reason. Even with big mudflaps on the truck, last weekend I touched up about 50 nicks .

Chips don't bother me as bad as the possibility of something going thru that thin fiberglass on that portion, so I would be interested. BTW, is it painted or just brushed?

Oops! Vaughn, mentioned putting the SS on the front & it got nix'd by the BOSS, "no SS, no aluminum, sprayed on or leave it alone".

? No chemical facility by me. I doubt you contract for our company, as we don't have contractors.

He finished and it looks great. Has to dry a few days before I use it. He has a job in Waco, Texas then he is training a crew in Hershey, Penn. He said that Alpha roofs are good but they put a felt material on the bottom side, it torn or gets a hole in it, it soaks water up like a sponge. Glad to have the main trainer doing mine.
