keyless entry

we have a 2014 31SL with a keyless entry we are trying to program with our code but it doesnt seem to want to work. We have new batteries when we put in the code it beeps for a while but no 2nd beep as it says in the instructions and we have used the factory code as well with no luck. I suggested to my hubby maybe close the door to see if that is the problem and it will open but he just gave me one of those looks...LOL Any suggestions?

If you have a Bauer lock just give the company a call and most likely they will just send you a new one to replace it. They are a great company to deal with.

If your doing what the direction say and batteries are good most likely a defective lock.

After the 2nd year & 3 of the key pads I gave up on them, every time it got wet you had to dry it out before it would work. Ordered the key fobs which we liked much better, but the last few months they've quit & they said I need a new circuit board in the door handle, we've decided to just use the key.

Our 2012 36RL (built in September 2011) has the Southco lock with key fobs. It is interesting to me that I haven't had the first problem with lock or key fob. I haven't even had to change the batteries in the key fobs. But, Redwood discontinued the use of Southco locks sometime around 2013. I guess Redwood did not want to use something that was too reliable.

We had the same problem when we bought our RW last Spring when you replace the batteries use lithium type only. Then we trouble shot the lock itself and found a pinched wire under the cover on the inside of the lock. You will need to take it all apart and look for any wires that may have become pinched which was what our problem was. Every since we found that it has worked without a hitch.

The third Bauer lock on my 13 RE is junk. It lasted 1 Year. Bauer offered to sell me #4. Been using the key for a year.
