Insignia Fridge Ice Maker Water Shut Off?

Hello all. We have a new 2021 3951mb WITH dishwasher installed under the sink, so no access to the plumbing behind. I did find a water shut off valve in the slide next to the fridge, which was set to open, but my fridge is not making ice. I have the ice maker function active on the door, I must be missing a second shut off valve. Anyone have a tip or experience for me? Thank you!

Welcome to one of the Redwood Forums. While we may not have the same model and year, some things never change. Ours has 2 separate 1/4 turn water valves under the kitchen sink by the p traps. One is for the ice maker water line and the other is for the dishwasher. You may or may not have both valves there. Another thing to consider is the water line under or near the slide out kinked in any way? Do you have a reliable thermometer to confirm that your freezer is cold enough to generate ice? If it's not cold enough it won't make ice with or without water, just asking. Also some household refrigerators use an interior water filter. Does your refrigerator have one of these? Is it fully seated properly? If it isn't it might not be allowing the water to pass inside. Things to check out and report back please.

Yes I've been poking around the side wall inside the cabinet next to the sink. I'm going to have to cut a hole in it or pull out the dishwasher. I did call Redwood customer service and was told "um, we don't have a clue". I'll let you know when I get access behind the sink!

I have a 2019 3951 WB, and there is a cutoff valve under the oven, pull out the drawer and you should be able to see it. The valve mates the pex to the clear line for the icemaker.

Thank you for your reply! I found one for us that's between the oven and fridge but will check and see if I can get under the oven at all, I don't know if your range is residential or not but ours goes all the way to the floor. Do you also have a water cutoff under your sink?

Yes, they must have changed the configuration under the range. We have a drawer underneath that I can get to. Initially, the valve under the sink was closed and the dealer had to fix it for me. I hope you can get that to work!
