How to prep the ground for the RV?

My wife and I just bought a 38FB Redwood and will be living in it on our land while we are building a house. Where the RV will be placed, the land is rock, cactus and rattlesnakes. My plan is to clear the surface rocks where it's loose, clear the cactus and kill the rattlesnakes where I find them.
Asside from electricity, water and sewer, what else should be done with regards to weeds and should I add some gravel as a base?

Thanks
Barry

I don't see a problem with what you are doing if the ground is relatively solid with a base of rock as you describe. It would be nice to have gravel around the RV for when it rains to keep from dealing with mud during rains.

Sounds like you're in Arizona? What you're planning to do sounds like a plan, gravel/crushed rock would be good but not necessary as long as you can pull in/out if it's wet cause, even in Arizona it does rain occasionally.

I would suggest some concrete pads for the tires to sit on . The tires don't like to stay on uneven surfaces. maybe some patio blocks would be ok . Keeping the landing gear extended as short as possible will help keep the trailer from having the shakes when its windy or walking around inside.

Concrete is not good for tires over time. I cut up a stall mat for the tires to rest on and for the jacks. The weight makes them act as if solid. Don't get wet, and work well.

If you use patio pavers you'll end up with crushed stone, they CAN NOT withstand the weight. Voice of experience!
