How do I bring my motorcycle along?

We have a 2012 36RL and want to bring along one of our motorcycles. It weighs about 500 LB. NC does not allow a trailer behind a trailer, and most lifts add too much weight. What are my options?

In all of the Trailer magazines they make something called a "Tote" that connects to the back of the trailer with a swivel wheel. This isn't considered a trailer since it is connected to the Redwood. This doesn't add much weight to the Redwood due to the extra wheel.

That's the only thing I can think of as well short of a toy hauler.

Another option I was looking into previously when I still had my Road Glide was the Idaho Tote. VERY EXPENSIVE but also very sturdy.

We own a 2012 Redwood 36RE and we been towing our Harley Ultra Classic then we got a Honda Gold Wing trike on a lite weight trailer for 3 years behind the Redwood. The problem is we are too long at 71 feet. We have never been stopped buy the law. Last year we got a Jeep Liberty to tow the trike trailer and it is great for running around in when we stop for the night plus it gets twice the gas mileage.

Did the couple at the rally use one of the above methods for hauling their Tri-wheel cycle?
Anyone know?

John,

I think that was BasilFaulty, if I remember one of them drove the truck while the other drove the trike.

I think your right Chuck, but I thought they said they each had one. Maybe they only brought one?

Ron, how's that setup been working for you? Did it take any pin weight off of your truck? Looks good!

Rick, been down in Flagstaff for 2 weeks waiting for parts. Blew pinion gear, I am not convinced the 3.42 will work with my loads. I am negotiating on DRW where I can get 3.73 or 4.10. Not sure on pin weight yet.

That doesn't sound good. I think with your rig you would probably be much happier with a DRW even though they are a pain to drive around town and park everywhere.
