First of all, welcome to the RW Forum, lots of great information here and helpful people.
We have a FL too and in the South Florida heat our A/Cs struggle to keep up during the middle of the day with the direct sun on our RW.
The rear bedroom seems to stay the coolest but the front living area gets pretty warm during the middle of the day.
We did put a small fan on top of the TV / Pantry cabinet to help keep the air moving up front, it seems to help some.
I just ordered Slide Toppers which also will help a little with the heat.
I have a infrared thermal scanner and found the hottest part on the inside during the midday sun is the Slide Ceilings, the Slide Toppers will keep the direct sun off the Slide Roofs.
Slide ceilings in any RV are not very thick and do not have much insulation.
As far as the Thermostat location for the rear bedroom A/C unit, I thought it was odd to mount it in the middle on the kitchen pantry wall.
