Heat Pump Bearing Noise

Anyone notice a "grinding/rubbing" noise as the heat pump is winding down? Ours has just started doing this. We have been using it daily over the Fall/Winter. Is there maybe a lube point for the bearings?

Thanks.

I have had several heat pumps on rv's and never had one with a lube point. I have had the one on our Redwood off and didn't notice any maintenance item except to clean it. The book doesn't list anything. In other words I am saying there is no lubrication place, all the bearings a sealed. I think you need to have it checked out by an a/c technicion.

I had ours checked at Explore USA and they said it was all good - yeah, imagine that. At least it is on record.

Ours was doing the same. The bolts were loose. My husband tightened them and the sound is gone. Not sure if the it's the same sound you are hearing.

When I get back home in a few days I will check the bolts as well.

Thank you for your comments.

When you tighten, be careful as I twisted one off before I realized what had happened.
