Hard to grease

On our 39MB there are 9 grease fitting on each side for the suspension. I have been greasing them on a regular basis. it seem lately that they are not taking grease as easy. I'm thinking its time to change to the bronze bushing/heavy hanger kit from Moryde.

The question I have is can you just install the hanger kit without equalizer? I just want to upgrade to the thicker hangers and bronze bushings for now until we can deiced what to do next year with upgrades. My axle spread from center to center of the spindle is 33"
Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Yes! That's what I did.
You'll need to measure center of bolt to center of bolt on the shackles to order the correct kit. If it's 3 1/8" if I recall the number is U21-016, but look it up for sure or call MorRyde they are very helpful. The kit comes with enough bushings to replace all of them, both ends of the springs & the equalizer bushings if needed.
If you have never replaced the originals I'm sure the plastic ones will be completely gone, mine only lasted 5-6k miles & the holes in the original shackles had already started to elongate.
Along about the time yours was built RW supposedly started putting bronze bushings in, have not heard whether that happened for sure, but even if they did you'll like the heavier shackles.

From what I found on mine, the equalizer will be nearly as worn as the plastic bushings. It isn't hard to change.

As for the "Hard to Grease" many have found if you lift the RW and get some of the weight off the springs, the zerks will take grease better.

I tried that prior to the new wet bolts & was able to get a couple to take grease, after the change they all take grease without raising.
One other thing to think about, when putting the new wet bolts on you may want to put the zerks to the inside or put 45 or 90 degree zerks in the bolts, it will be much easier to get to. I did not, but already had a 90 degree grease gun fitting that works with a little southern engineering.

Also make sure you put the holes in the wet bolts a 3:00 and 9:00. That way they will take grease with the trailer weight on them
