I have the Viper hose which doesn't collapse as tight as others, and the tube holds 10'. I tried adding a straight clearcoupling and it fits but not easy. I ended up adding a 2nd longer tube.

My under the trailer bumper tube holds at least 20ft of hose. The boom tube holds ~9ft.

I found the tube that come with our BR to be too short to store our hose even when collapsed. I added the longer tube to the back of the factory unit. Now I store my 5' extension in the factory tube and the longer 20' (I think) in the new tube. They are both the same brand. FWIW it was super easy to add the second one. 3 screws with a drill and done.

As long as I can get within 8 ft of the drain area I'm fine. I then carry another 15ft section in another container but I rarely use it. I love my boom.

I use the rhino sewer hose. The boom holds one length with hose ends which I believe is 15 ft. I also have a tube (took it off previous trailer) which holds another length for those times when I have to make a long run.

Lots ofpeople whined about that sewer boom that came on the 12's. (I like ours and it works fine). Well, obviously Redwood listened because now look what you've got. IMHO, the cure was worse than the disease!



We're still weekenders, and whenwe hit the campsites, sometimes theguys with the big,blue orred 50-milloverkill sewer hoses ask howI got a 20' sewer hose (with flange) to fit into thatsewer boom. The secret is to comparea cheaper "standard-duty" version.



One of the catalog websites(can't remember now) had a list of the sewer hoses showing popular hoses/kit'sextended length,compressed length, wall thickness, etc. Obviouslythere is a big difference in compressed length with 20' standard "weekender" than one of the"heavy duty" hoses.



If you are not a full-timer, you might consider thestorage benefits of a thicker wall "standard duty" hose that can compress down enough to store outside without adding additional tubes or plastic bins in the basement for storage. Just a thought...

I have used the Rhino Flex hose ever since it came out. I don't use their hose ends though. They last for several years, and where part of it is in the sewer boom now where the sun doesn't catch it, it may last longer. I have a 20' extended in the boom, and another length in a tube mounted under the camper.

I also use it when some toilet paper gets in the black water valve, it prevents that "surprise" when you take the cap off the sewer pipe when you are dumping!

I also have the same valve on my unit for the past 1.5 years. It works great and I like the option of being able to take full advantage of my 2 grey tanks.

We have a 2013 31sl and suffer the same problem only solution we have found was to open both valves as suggested. We have removed the washer prep to allow left closet door to open fully and will t shower into old washer drain to use both tanks

On my 38gk, the shower goes with the kitchen sink and dishwasher to galley tank and the washer, bathroom and bedroom sink go to the grey tank. I cut and capped the line from the shower and ran a new drain to the bathroom sink drain. We will never have a washer, but we do use the dishwasher every trip.
