Got a surprise today, stumbled onto the "safe".

I have lived in this unit non stop since I got it, last September, and just now stumbled onto the safe today. I have heard you guys talk about a safe, but I assumed that you meant the locking file drawer in the LR. While washing a load of clothes, I tossed my clothes basket back in the closet, and the sound it made didn't sound like just carpet. After looking, I noticed the cut carpet and lifted it up.

And if you don't want everybody to be able to open the safe, Get to a locksmith or home store and get a different lock. Pretty sure that the ch751 key you have for your 6 point leveling door will open that also. Not so sure they thought about the locking drawer either. Just open the drawer above, push the black tabs on the drawer glides and remove the drawer above the locking drawer and reach in. Sorry to burst everyone's sense of security in locking things up.

^ That's why the "quotes" were with the word safe in my post. But, it was a nice surprise. FTR, the keys that work mine are AH01.

The CH751 key will NOT work in my closet safe. There are two keys in the safe that does work.

^Right.

Edit: You mean to tell me that what I wrote above is too short? Something needs to change.

The CH751 key might not work for all years or all models. I know where I worked for over 7 years that they used the same ch751 lock and key for exterior storage compartments, water fill and 6 point leveling systems And the safe. That was until they went to slam latch style baggage doors. Some keys on some brands can open a lot of doors in most campgrounds. Master keys for entry doors will operate the door locks but NOT the deadbolt. But face it, locks are for the honest ones anyway. Most people respect other peoples stuff. Some don't. While boating or camping we keep an eye on others peoples stuff also and hope others do the same .

I think the only floor plan that does not have a safe is the Front Living

On the 36rl it is in the center of the closet, in the floor, back next to the cider looking wood. It has a piece of carpet covered wood covering it. It's hard to notice, and that's why I just stumbled onto it by tossing the laundry basket on it, and noticed a funny metal sound.

Jerryl,
Same here. I came across it by accident. Which is a good thing. Means others will not find it that easily unless they know it is there.
