For future reference can anyone locate the two GFI's in a 36 RL. I found the obvious one in the bedroom. I cannot locate another. A local RV service provider was on site today at my rig and insisted all RV's have a second GFI. I have gone over every square inch of this coach and failed to find an additional GFI. Could it be hidden in the basement for the Dirt Devil connection.

I've also only found one. As a matter of fact, I had to replace it and everything worked fine after that. There is no GFI behind the wall in the basement.

No, I haven"t pulled the frig out to check for a GFI. I do know the one in the bathroom covers the island outlets and the outlet in the convenience center, as well as the outlet in the bathroom. Essentially, anywhere where water could come in contact with an electric source. Edited by: Adamsvr

This prob. won't help you find yours but in our 36FL, there is one in the bathroom and one in the kitchen. I couldn't find another one inside, outside or in the basement. At least it may help confirm that there maybe are 2 somewhere.

To clarify...

We have a 2012 RL made in the summer of 2011. Things probably have changed and there may be two GFI's. Ours; however has one.

Our 2012 RL has the one GFI in the bathroom. The GFI outlets that are run through this are the ones on the island in the kitchen, the convenience center, and the one outside. If your local rv service provider insists there are two, have him show you where the second one is. I believe he is mistaken.

Our 2012 36RL has only one GFI and it is in the bathroom. I can't believe any GFI would be placed in a non-accessible location. That would be rather ignorant on the part of a design engineer.

The only one that said he had more than one was Oregonbound with a 36FL. All the rest could only find one.

I found one GFI in my 2013 RL bathroom. Tomorrow I will check if there is one located in external access area for the refrigerator. My previous RV did have a GFI outlet in that access area. Some of the other internal/external outlets have a sticker indicating they are GFI protected.

The outlet within the external refrigerator access is not an GFI however has the "...protected" tag. So that results in one GFI outlet I could locate in my 36FL while several others have the "...protected" label.

My 2013 RL has one GGI and several outlets with stickers indicating they are GFI protected.

Gfi

It appears there is only one. What brought this question up is trying to trouble shoot a lost electrical leg on the trailer. The local repair guy, not Redwood dealer, stated he had never seen a trailer with only one GFI. Found the short at the 50 amp connection to the trailer. This has been an ongoing issue and I am thankful that this local repair guy finally found the issue. To date, at least, no additional power interruptions.

This is are third new trailer since 2002, and I don't recall any of them having more that one Ground Fault Circuit. Depending on how the trailer is wired, I suppose there could be some with two, but I think that is the exception.
