Furnace: 2013 Redwood 5th Wheel 38RL

Furnace not throwing much heat in electric mode, but I only have a manual for propane furnace, so I have no way of troubleshooting. The control on the wall (thermostat) gives the option of gas heat or electric heat, so I'm assuming that the electric mode is available. Any suggestions as to why the heat is not coming through in electric.
Thanks, Jack

The electric option is actually a heat pump on your air conditioner. When it is first used it will take a couple of minutes to actually feel heat and it will be coming from the air conditioner vents in the ceiling. When using the gas option, the furnace provides the heat and it will be coming from the floor vents. You should note though, that if you adjust the thermostat more than 2-4 degrees higher than the interior temperature, and you have it set to electric, the gas furnace will come on as well to get the temp up then the heat pump will take over. I usually set the temp 2 degrees above and then adjust 2 degrees up each time the heat pump shuts off until I get the temp I want. If you have the thermostat set to gas and you are not getting heat from the floor vents than there is an issue with the furnace which your manual should address, such as air in the gas line. If you are using only the gas setting then the 2-4 degree limit would not apply.

I won't try to improve on that explanation.

Great overview.
