fresh water tank

OK this is a simple question, but when I fill my fresh water tank, how do I know when my tank is full so I can turn off the hose?

As Andy said, there's an overflow hose below your unit. when the tank gets full it will start running out. I will usually get about 5 gallons on the ground before it stops.

Is the fresh water tank siphoning defect back again? I thought that was fixed. What's next... the shower door leak coming back?

Isn't that why 5 more gallons drains out onto the ground?

Before it was fixed by the service center I'd loose 30 gallons. I'm pretty happy with 5 gallons. I figure that has to be room within the tank for sloshing around and expansion since it's such a big tank..

Yep its back my 14 38rl made 10/13 has the pex vent line that's suppose to be in the convenience center coming out of the underbelly which siphons tank level down to 2/3 full on gauge. I would guess it loses about 20-30 gallons. I was able to purchse a shutoff valve that Lowes sells it just pushes right on the pex line. Fixed but eventually may try and pull the line up, not sure if that's possible or not.

You can call your dealer and they can fix this, however your fix works too.

Our shower doors don't leak.......that's a self cleaning bathroom floor. Every time you shower the floor gets washed too

Seriously though......there was quite a bit of discussion in the past about the leaking showers. I suppose some folks had it worse than we did. My shower did leak when we first got the trailer but it only leaked about 3-4 ounces and I believe more water dripped off of me than leaked through the shower door.

Thankfully when I took my trailer to the service center for other repairs, they went through my trailer and fixed many things I didn't know needed fixed. They must have fixed my shower because it did stop leaking.

My new '15 38FL has the siphon issue. When I fill the fresh water to full it will drain out to about the 2/3rds level. Anyone know what size shutoff valve I need to get to plug the pex?

I guess I will just add a shutoff valve for pex line on my list... This seems pretty silly. Like a hose was just not trimmed the right length or something.

This is what I bought from Lowes install in seconds, just push it on, doesn't leak a drop and comes with a tool to remove it.

Dave, I configured the valve so that the handle is down when the valve is open, when closed it is only about 1 inch below the cover, it is actually higher than the drain valve.
