FMCA may allow towables

Very interesting. FMCA may allow towables into their association! They have some great benefits!

I didn't find anything that fascinating about their benefits. What are you seeing that is great?

Last we researched, just their tire benefit alone was worth membership. Huge discount.

I'll believe it when I see it, as we've heard that rumor for years.

Well, sounds like if they want to survive, they'll need to open their association up to all RVers. The President made some good arguments to do so...

There goes the neighborhood Atom Ant teasing, of course (sorta since I was denied attending the redwood rally a few yrs ago ...)

While I was a member for a couple of years,
I've found that judicious googling on my own has gotten me just as much benefit ...

Yep. Sounds like trailer trash people like us may be coming!

I wouldn't get too excited. It still has to be approved by the board (the ones who have turned it down in the past), so the earilest we would get a final answer is late fall.
BUT and that a big three letter word, it appears that each chapter could still refuse towables as this wouldn't be an across the board deal. We just have to wait and see.

I agree. I got better insurance on my own than they offered, and their Michelin tire discount is easily matched at the tires stores. I really couldn't see an advantage other than I enjoy the history associated with the association. That heritage will be lost with the addition of towables.

That discount is not that exclusive - it can be matched or beaten. Our WIT offers the same discount, yet the store is cheaper when on sale.

It is a cool plaque though
