Flipping axels on a 39mb

Has any one flipped their axel to lower their rig down 5.5 inches. making the total height 13ft. I already know that the 8K. axels can be flipped because the axels do not have a bow in them . but I am not sure about the wheel well clearance

I wouldn't do it unless I was going to raise up the mounting of all the jacks, for fear if I didn't I would be dragging them all the time. I couldn't do on ours anyway as we have the MORryde IS, but even if we didn't I wouldn't do as we travel level and lower that much would make us that much Nose High.
I thought all RV axles had a certain amount of bow to allow them to track straight once weight was put on them.

If they are properly aligned they will have to have some bow in them to achieve the proper camber. It may be hard to see, but a long level parallel to the axle tube will most likely show a slight bow.
Not sure I'd attempt this as there won't be much clearance between the axle tube & the frame, seems with even minor bumps the axles would be banging against the frame.
Most that are flipping the axles are doing so to raise the rv due high bed sides on the newer trucks.
Just curious, why would you consider this?
Mine was 13'4" at the highest front vent cover, traveled all across the country without any height issues, but did have to pay attention at some fuel stops.

I would like to have more height clearance. I am a retired long haul driver and have seen a lot of things happen out there due to highway paving under the overpasses. The DOT doesn't all ways remark the height.
