Dave, please. It's Falcon, not Lippert. Geez.

It's been suggested many times. We've been told in the past that offering MorRyde as an option was detrimental to Redwood's relationship with Lippert. I mean Falcon.

Ya, I'm just got off what Rob said in his thread http://www.redwoodowners.com/forums/...od-3028-6.html

I'll have to investigate some more.

I originally ordered shackles from a RW dealer, when they arrived they were about twice as thick as original, but only half as thick as MR, I returned them & ordered MR. Also had to pay for each wet bolt & bushing separately, would've cost twice as much. That's probably what you'll get from Liperts kit!

But we do not regret the purchase, it's just figuring out how and when to address these issues.
You shouldn't regret your purchase, Warren. Redwoods are beautiful and we love ours. Just stay informed and alert and you'll do just fine.

Many happy trails ahead for you and the Mrs.!

They will be lippert parts of course.
Dexter also makes heavy duty wet bolt /shackle /bronze bushing kits.

Now I am really confused... Everyone I chat with tells me I need a 33" kit for the sre4000.. Mor/ryde is telling me 35".. They even gave me instructions to do measuring..I did that and came up with 61".. That equates to 35" wheelbase ???????
Is it as easy as taking the level up system and having the trailer sitting on the truck ,mat that point measure center of wheel to center of wheel ??

I looked up the qualification sheet- looks like the 8k spring pack doesn't work with the Mor-ryde 4000 anymore than it did with the Trailair equaflex on my factory install

The SRE/4000 is designed for a 1 3/4" wide double eye (not slipper style) leaf spring and will NOT work with an 8k axle spring pack (i.e. 7 leafs in which the second leaf down from the top is the same length as the top leaf).

Install the centerpoint it will work with 7 & 8K axles not much more tan equiflex. Or have someone torch 2 " off the second spring so it will work. This would not affect the spring pack.

I don't see where centerpoint would be any different - in fact maybe worse. Besides, its a Lippert component....won't work on Falcon

Good thought on the spring shortening though. I did have a trailer shop offer to taper them.

I am installing the SRE 4000, 33 inch kit on my 2012 36RL along with the Heavy Duty Shackle Kit. Not an easy job, but, so far, so good.

How did you figure out you needed the 33" kit? Was it as easy as measuring the wheels while the level up was not active ??

Per Lippert they suggest using the Lippert system only , as any other mfg parts MAY void the warranty of the axle and frames..?? Upgrading = voiding??
Anyway , I was always accused of not being a good listener and went full steam ahead...

That's a problem when a RV manufacture is tied to one supplier. There's no hope for improvement because there's no competition for that RV brand.

When I put the MORRyde IS on the coach at about a year old I knew I was voiding Lipperts frame warranty as I did it. Really didn't care. I figured MorRyde warranty would cover their part and my extended coverage would do anything else.

Tapering would be a much better choice than shortening. The second long leaf gives support to the ends of the main leaf on the heavier spring pack.

Lippert denies all warranty claims anyway so why worry about voiding it.
