Electrical Problems

I have lost power to all the electrical outlets in the entertainment area, in the pantry and the outlet beside the stove on my '14-36RL. They are not on the GFI circuit, nor do I have a thrown breaker. Anybody have any ideas what the problem might be. Also, as I am on the road right now and not near my selling dealer, who might be the best person at the factory to contact (and number).

We had a similar problem. Found we had a nagging and reoccurring short at the outside plug. Once that connection was re-establised the problem was resolved. We basically lost one leg of the electrical that affected the outlets, fireplace, living room tv and microwave.

Although it may not look like a blown circuit breaker....it probably is. Manually turn each circuit breaker off and then back on. This has happened to many of us. The breakers don't looked tripped but they are.

Dave, I have manually turned all breakers off and on with no resolve.
Rick, did you loose power to the outside plug? I still have power there.

We have 2 separate GFCI circuits, have you checked for a 2nd GFCI box. We have 1 in the kitchen and 1 in the bathroom. Some of our kitchen plugs are on the same circuit as the entertainment centre.

I agree with Rick, you're problem might be in the plug. Take a tester and carefully remove the rear plug of the trailer (it can bite). If you're getting full power, start taking down the utility wall in the basement. Some on here have found loose lugs on the electrical. If you have a unit prepped for the generator, I'd look there at the switch box first.

Everything you are having trouble with is on the same circuit, including your fridge. If your fridge is working, start with that outlet. It goes from there to your countertop outlet, pantry outlet and then entertainment outlet.

Residential fridge is working, but from there back, nothing. I have a tester, and confirmed what you are saying. (Back wall outlets have power.) Now the search for the issue. Any suggestions?

If it is wired like mine (I just had it apart and rewired things this weekend) this might help.

There is a 15a breaker romex line that runs to the input side of the inverter
It is tied to the output romex that feeds the entertainment circuit.
The output of the inverter goes to the receptacle for the refer.

You can see in the photo the one circuit that is still attached is the leg that feeds the refer. It is the output side of the inverter.

The inverter has a transfer switch. If it doesn't see shore power, it auto switches to battery (inverter) power and sends the 110 to the refer plug.

The photo shows disassembled wiring for this circuit. Perhaps the wire nuts have come loose and you have lost connectivity. On mine, the nuts were just twisted on, the wires were not twisted first.

BTW, the inverter on my rig is located just behind the panel in the garage on the stair side.
