Electrical outlet problems

We have a 2013 fl we have currently lost power to the electrical outlets for the tv/DVD and the plug in under the desk drawer and the one to the washer all others in the trailer work just fine checked fuses, we are at a lose any body have any suggestions for trouble shooting. Thanks

That is an interesting problem with outlets at different ends of the coach.

If the 110V breakers are OK I would suspect a loose wire, either at the breaker or one of the outlets.

We have another outlet at the rear of the slide above the fireplace. Does it work, as I would have expected that to be in the same line as the TV/DVD.

Yes that's the one we are using to run a electrical cord to the tv till we can get it in to the dealer. Just weird thought maybe somebody else might have an idea Thank you for the input. Much appriciated

Did you check all of the GFI plugs to make sure they are reset (test - reset) button on the plug itself.

I agree with Brad, this sounds like a GFI issue. Check them all.

These coaches have several GFI outlets and many of the outlets are affected by a tripped GFI. Typically they are in the bath and convenience center and perhaps under the kitchen sink. Check all you can find.

Don't I know how a tripped gfi can trip you up !!!! TeeHee ....
my problem was FINDING the darn things - resetting was easy !

Yes found them all and they are all working ok thanks for helping thought maybe something we over looked guess we will load her up and take her in.

As Andy suggested, I would check the main panel for a loose wire. You'd be best served by disconnecting the RV from shore power before opening the panel. I had a similar problem with lighting and it turned out to be the main panel. The hardest part of the whole job was deciphering the hieroglyphics that were written on each breaker describing each one of the circuits.

I asked our dealer for a description of each circuit so that I can relabel the entire panel.

Found an interested combination of outlets on 1 breaker this morning. I was using the built in Dirt Devil Hoover while DW made the tea. Soon as she turned the kettle on the breaker tripped.

For other FL owners we use the outlet at the rear of the kitchen for the kettle.

I suggest that you remove each outlet and check the wiring connections. Make sure the wires are tight under the screws and that they did not use the "push and connect" type of connections on the back of the outlets. I have seen those type of connections go bad many times in residential installations. I never have liked that the national electrical suppliers decided those types of outlets were okay and I am an electrical engineer. I have seen those type of connections go bad and get so hot they came close to causing a fire or just plain open up. Something to check.
