Dometic Toilet

Hi,
Having issues with our Thetford toilet that will not stop running (and I mean fully), have to use the valve behind it to stop it. Actually that valve was not there when we purchased this unit but thankfully the folks in Topeka installed one for us.
I see that a lot of people have switched to the Dometic 320 and I am interested.
We own a 2014 FL36 and was wondering if any of you FL36 owners have replaced your toilet with the Dometic 320. It has an elongated bowl and was just wondering about fit?
Thanks,
Paul

We did it on our 2015 38RL. I think the space is the same in your 36. It was a easy swap

Dometic 320

Replaced the Thetford with a Dometic 320 in our 2017 36RL. It fit perfectly. Also added an inline shut-off valve which was purchased from Home Depot. It would have been a five minute job had I not added the shut-off valve.

hey Paul....we just installed a '320' in our 2015 38RL...tight fit...if your present Thetford sits tight to the back wall...installing the 320 could be an issue....as the dometics shape /design sits further back from the centre of the waste pipe below.you should be able to get install dimensions some where on line and make sure you have clearance....if there happens not to be enough room....the domestic 310 has the same (better) valve system ....but has a shape similar to the Thetford you are replacing...Good luck

The Thetford is corner mounted and sits about 7" from the corner where the two walls meet. It maybe a bit tight but feel reasonably good that it will fit.
Thanks!

We had issues with the Thetford as well. The flush pedal fell off of one so I ordered a new base. Same thing happened again. Replaced ti with a Dometic 310. Much better product. Wanted the 320 but there was not enough clearance in our '17 38RL.
