Directv Geniego?

Has anyone used a Directv GenieGo to stream their recorded shows to the RV? From what I've seen, most parks don't have the Wifi bandwidth to support streaming, but usually have good enough cell service (if you've got the data plan) to support streaming. Just curious, thanks!

Not only does our current park not have enough bandwidth they block all streaming.

Thanks! I have encountered that as well To avoid using the park's wifi, we're thinking we could use our Verizon mobile hotspot, but before adding more data I was curious if anyone else has tried something like that.

In our experience, if you intend to stream very many movies from your cellular data plan, it would be cheaper to buy the movie studio. Data goes very quickly with video & it's not cheap per gig. We have the Verizon mifi with 15 gigs & 1 cell phone for $175 a month & don't watch movies & very little u tube & use most of the data per month. If our grandkids come over & play their games on our WiFi it won't last a month.

I think for RVing, Red Box would be your friend vs trying to use a park's WiFi or your own Jet Pak. As said, streaming movies via Cell Carriers get very expensive very fast.

Thanks everyone for replying. I'm glad I asked. I think we will just stick with the cable TV in the various parks we'll stay at!
