We just found out our RE went into production this week and was wondering with full body paint how long will it take for it to be ready? I was told about another 4 weeks before delivery..is this about right? Appreciate your feed back.

That's right. Then you have to wait for the delivery service to come and bring it to your dealer.

We waited about 2 weeks after paint for ours to arrive. The only real unknown barring any issues with paint is the transportation from the factory to your dealer. That can be a matter of days to weeks depending on a lot of factors.

Congrats and push back from the edge of your seat ....

It's easy to get tired out there I KNOW !!!

Just heard that ours is back from paint meaning it's getting closer for us....

one thing I offered to help with is a simple web page to display the last status for an owner via vin #...
like we had when we ordered our Audi...

I don't know what Redwood's or your dealers policy is, but I know some people that have picked up their new unit at the factory. Downside, it could be a long trip, and there is the travel cost involved, upside, you get the unit faster, and you should save the transportation cost. Just one option.

Send a message via Yahoo to RollsRoyce

Yea but do you get the same PDI as you would if picking up at dealer or better?

I don't know what Redwood's procedure is, but I have talked to some people that have picked up their unit, and they said the factory service gave them a better pre delivery inspection than they had ever received at a dealer. It depends on the manufacture's procedure and service. .

We had Lazydays offer to let us pickone upclosetothe factory due to the long drive to Florida, but the catch was, the exchange occurred through a local DEALER. This may just be a guy working out of his house with a Dealer license, but it couldn't be a direct transaction through the factory.

Typically that is a general agreement between thefactory and dealerships. Given the option I think a large percentage of folks would rather get it from the factory direct, which would hurt the Dealers. There is one company that lets you pick them up direct - New Horizon.
