Brad
Mine cracked, similar to others. Stress joints like on the Montana would have likely prevented the issue.

I'm just trying to avoid the body work and paint if it decides to crack on its own.

Our previous 5th Wheels did not have the joint and after many years / miles did not have any cracking.
But there was a lot more fiberglass wall / body between the slide opening / cutout and the bottom edge of the fiberglass.
I guess when you have more structure in that area, no cracking issue, less structure, need joint for flex to prevent cracking.

According to our dealer, there has been a lot of these things cracking! Mine already has the "H", but it is now become uneven and the side is bulging. I am thinking these units are crap!! I can't believe how nonchalat everyone is about the problem...I live in this thing and now I am going to be homeless for 6-8 weeks or more. It is not OK! Texas Lemon Law here I come. Redwood has problems and we are the victims.

Might try contacting the GM of Redwood. 6 t0 8 weeks out of your coach is unacceptable. Maybe they could send a transporter down to get it and take it to the service center in In. Should take less time at the service center

I would be shocked if RW doesn't address this for you. Give them a chance to make this right. Keep us posted!

Yes, a bottle of bourbon to the Service Manager ALWAYS helps these situations.

We gave a Red Lobster gift card to the service manager and big box of fresh cookies from the bakery to the poor guy that tries really hard to make everyone happy. :-)

Actually, after witnessing countless JERKS at the service counter (I am talking about RV OWNERS!) yelling at these guys about something that is completely and obviously user error caused...I think the service departments should dose some of the OWNERS with bourbon when they come in! Personally, I would keep a can of silly string under the counter and when some red-faced owner started blustering about B.S. I would just "pssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssst" right in his face.

hahahaah - that would last almost through the full day of your employment! But it might be worth it, especially with in house webcams!

I live in the heart of bourbon country that would be like handing over a bottle of deer park water.
