Converter - Battery selection

For those of you who are thinking about changing from lead acid batteries to AGM or gell cell batteries, please keep in mind that you will need to check your converter's battery selection switch for the proper battery position. Personally, I wouldn't recommend a gell cell battery for use in our coaches but that isn't the purpose of this thread.

In our 36FL, the factory installed a WFCO 68100, 100A power converter:

Page 5 of the manual illustrates the dip switch used for battery selection. If you are going to change to an AGM battery, no change to the selector switch is needed as the default setting on this particular converter is already in the "up" position for AGM/lead acid battery.
