Cat traveling.

Good evening from Ft Stockton Tx, here for the night before moving on to Las Cruces NM tomorrow.
We have a kitty, who likes to stay in Rv while we travel we like the idea also, we are concerned about heat problems as we get to this part of the country.
Thinking of getting a 12 volt fan with adapter to fit trailer receptacle outlet that we might be able to leave and stir some air in Rv for him. Other idea would be to open vent fan in kitchen, and crack rear window of Rv to allow a draw, not sure if this a good idea though, have had some real brain farts in my life.
Anyone travel with a kitty, that has any ideas.

Our three are in the cab. If you have a genset in th coach you could fire that up and turn on AC
When we are on the road, I open both our fans for ventilation. We do have the Maxx Air II covers on them.

Meet TEDDY. This is our 21 pound long hair, big time shedding, PITA..I keep telling him we will feed him to the crocs one day. He hates any idea of traveling and screams for the first 30 minutes at the start of every day we travel. But he rides with us. First if by any chance the door should open while traveling. and there is always the possibility of fumes from your truck. Not saying you are wrong... just not for me...I feel too dangerous...(now you know why we use Ted 95. he was rescued in 95 and at 3yrs old was 3 1/2 pounds)

Ours travel in the truck with us too - note photo on signature. That is Murphy and that is one of his favorite spots.

Ours travel in the Truck too, just far to many hiding places in the RW with the Slides in and don't want to open slides without know where they are, that's why they stay in the truck until the RW is setup.

If we traveled less than 5 hours, our 2 cats ride in the truck. If longer on the road, usually in the bedroom with water and a litter box. I would turn on the kitchen vent fan, open the bath vent and sometimes partially open a bedroom window. We used our indoor/outdoor thermometer to watch the temps on the bed. 90 degrees inside and not in direct sun, won't hurt the cats at all.
