get one of these:

remove the end cap, put it on the end of your drain and close the valve...
then open BOTH grey tanks....
water will seek it's own level and the full tank will back up and overflow into the empty tank, thus making one big grey tank...
dumping is just as easy...

hook up stinky slinky, close both grey tanks, open end valve, open black tank, close black, and open grey tanks...

works like a champ !
We use this approach and it works well. Two things to note, 1st get the valve with the clear elbow attached so you can see the stuff draining out. 2nd, when you're using this method know that one tank will generally fill up first and then the second tank will fill up. That's at least what we notice on ours.

Oh and if your in an area that can get below freezing at night be sure to close both gray tank valves and drain the main tube. Since it's not tucked into the underbelly it can freeze and bad things might happen.

On our 38gk, the drain is tucked under so far I got a clear extender just to make it easier to get to, then put the extra valve there... and glad I did, because one of my grey valves is not closing all the way !

but BBBBBBBBBBBBBRRRRRRRRRRRRRR - don't want no stinkin freezing

There are photographs on this forum from early in the year, if you want to search.
Thanks…will search

For each test, check each tank's dump valve which checks for correct plumbing. I drained the fluids into my 35-gallon portable tank with a transparent elbow attached to the main sewer connection point.
Excellent idea

From memory, when we did the PDI, we did not get any water in one of the grey tanks from any source. The only source we didn't test was the dishwasher, which we subsequently determined goes into the same tank as the sink. Therefore, I confirmed our 36FL was plumbed as per the RW drawing, with the W/D having a dedicated grey tank.
Thanks again Oriana. Haven't found that thread yet but will keep looking.

p.s. where was your signature photo taken? Looks like a place near to me in Glacier National Park.

dye certainly would let you know the track of your 'stuff'

This is what I got:

this to move the 'connection' out a bit - 9" was longer :
http://www.amazon.com/Camco-39572-Cl...ewer+extension

and this to close off the end when both greys are open:
http://www.amazon.com/Valterra-T58-T...rv+sewer+valve

Brief update. Since sanitizing the fresh water tank (and all lines) with a strong solution of bleach (32 oz/100 gal. tank), we have not had any "rotten egg" smell. It has been about a week. At that time, I also filled both grey tanks with "Walex Porta-Pak" tank cleaner and let sit overnight.

As far as the tanks are concerned, did one more test. Indeed, the only drain that leads to the "Galley" tank is the bathroom sink - which explains why we seldom are draining that tank and draining the "Grey" tank every other day. Will be ordering the clear plastic additional valve today. Will be asking dealership to, if possible, rework plumbing next Spring so that it is more balanced e.g) Washer and dishwasher going to the Galley tank.

P.S. I substituted "Walex Bio-Pak" for the "TST" in the black tank for the last week. Both Cara and I noticed a significant reduction (nay, an absence) of odor coming from the toilet. It was just a little more money and well worth it. It can be found at Wal-mart.

Took it this summer on our swing through the Rockies. This one was on the East side of Kootenay Lake between Creston and the ferry terminal.
