Campgrounds in and around Louisville, KY

We will be in the Louisville, KY area around November 1st and was hoping someone could recommend a campground.

We stayed at the Kentucky Horse Park many years ago, It was a great place to stay, and you don't really have to love horses. It looks like they are open in November but turn the water off at the sites. It's worth a call.

I have received a PM from somebody who lives down in that part of the country. He stated---------
The Kentucky horse park is not big rig friendly and taking a Redwood in there would be a nightmare. We took our little Rockwood to the horse park for a shake down trip and it was extremely tight with it. I couldn’t dream of taking a 40 footer in there.

Also, the Kentucky Horse Park isn't near Louisville.

We've stayed at 2 places around Louisville while working there. One was in Clarksville IN. which is right across the river. Add more campground. Most pull thrus. It's ok. Not at all fancy. Good power and water pressure. Kinda close. We stayed there fall thru the winter about 4 years ago. In 2019 we stayed in Taylorsville KY. It was called Taylorsville RV&Boat storage. It was a very nice place. They were night out so I don't know if they have changed there name. And the other place we stayed was in Georgetown at the KOA Whispering Hills this was a nice place also. We have also stayed at Grandma's Campground but that was only for overnight passing thru.
