Black Tank Valve

I am going to replace my black tank valve. Can anyone tell me if the factory uses Valtera or Bristol valves? If you changed yours, what replacement valve did you use? Thanks.

I replaced all three of my valves with valterra units. Mine worked hard and leaked internally from day one. After replacing the valves and operators they worked great.. I re routed all the cables properly removing some of the tight turns which helped them open and close much more easily. Also because I care every valve seal was installed perfectly and checked for leaks and proper operation. Ordered valves from Amazon. Once you’re into it you’re going to want to replace them all while you’re there.

Not really. Remove some of the screws holding up the colorplast bottom liner to see what’s what as far as access. Drain and flush tanks then us your leveling system to cause the excess water in the black tank to run away from its drain. There are four bolts on each valve that need to be removed in order to slide new valve in place. It’s not that hard it just takes time.
