Black Tank Sprayer Location

Does anyone know of the actual location of the black tank sprayers in relation to the tank? Are they in the "top" spraying "down", or in the "side" spaying "out"?? Just curious. Thanks! <---that's my new signature from now on! LOL!

I assume the side. The bottom would be a disaster keeping it free of debris, and I don't think there is a good spot on top, but I don't know anything for a fact, as I have never seen it. Dave's factory walkthrough pics may give a clue!

I drain mine and fill it up and drain it twice. Always comes out clear.

I was having trouble with the level indicators not working, I read on here to flush with hot water three times and now they work perfect. Might be a little off topic, but just thought I would put it out there.

How did you flush all the tanks with hot water?

I hook into the outside shower connection and run it to the flush connection works great. Don't forget the back flow preventer just to be safe.

Ah ok, you are just talking the black then. I suppose it is easy to get hot in the others. I ask because it is the gray tanks I lost the sensors in.

My grey sensors work as far as I can tell, but the black has read 2/3 since very first fill & nothing I've tried has made any difference, don't pay any attention to them anymore.

I can get my black tanks after flushing to read empty. Then as soon as I put a couple gallons of fresh water and some treatment, its goes to 1/3 or even 1/2. Have learned to live with it. At least the grey are pretty close. Will have to try the hot water and see if it helps any. Thanks.

I have tried the hot water, didn't help the black sensors, but did seem to flush cleaner.

Forgot to mention, when using the hot water, I also added a cap full of laundry detergent during hot water fill.

I like that hot water idea! Super easy to do. The only negative for me is water pressure. I use the onboard pump for everything since I have a whole house RO system. Even with an upgraded variable speed pump it's still not quite the volume of a city water connection. It does run at 65 psi though so that's nice.
