Bedroom Slides

Our 38GK 2016 Redwood fifth wheel bedroom slide does now work. This is a slide inside a slide and it’s the little inside one that don’t work. Anybody have an idea what to do.

We don't own your model with the slide in a slide, but are both slides a schwintek mechanism? Most schwintek problems are lubrication related issues. If you google schwintek lubrication you will see the only lubrication CRC spray in a green spray can that Lippert recommends for their units. Since there are 2 seperate sets of mechanisms there is also 2 sets of synchronous controllers to control them. Would think that both controllers would be located in the storage compartment mounted on the wall below the bedroom slide outs. Lippert site also shows the code meanings when you get an error code when trying to extend the additional slide within the slide.

I have a 2015 38gk with exactly the same problem, the bedroom slidevwithin the slide after returning from a trip last Thursday does extend anymore. After testing the slide controller located on the drivers side storage bay behind a plastic panel, I found that it was the momentary switch located in the control panel .. I was lucky, the switch was $6.75. I was able to bypass the switch by connecting the extend wire, ( the bottom) wire on the back of the switch to the center wire which is DC12v+ wire. I hope your issue is as simple as mine. Do you hear the motors working when you press the switch? See if there are any error light s on the controller blinking, try resetting the controller by pressing the button on the controller 7 times and hold the 7th press until both the red and green lights start blinking.

Hope this helps.
