Basement television;

I have question? I have the winegard traveler system. I have it working correctly. However, I want to also have a third television to use for the outside door side basement sat. connection. I removed the bedroom tv and took it outside to the compartment, ran a coaxial cable from the sat connection wall plate to the tv and plugged it in, turned it on and nothing? The tv actually came on and went right back off? I, checked the power supply voltage and have 120 volts? Any ideas? I, then put the bedroom tv back in place and it works properly?

Need more info: Are we talking Dish or Direct? Do you have signal in both the Bedroom and Living Room?
All of our cables terminate in the bedroom, two cables from the roof and cables to the living room, outside, and bedroom.
We have Direct, so I have a Direct splitter in the bedroom cabinet and sends signal to all three receivers. You may have to trace out the cables to find out which goes where.

Don't know if you figured this out yet, but on the attached diagram you'll see that the door side basement Sat actually has a splitter in it for some reason. You'll have to find the splitter. Mine was behind one of the ceiling lights in the bedroom as stated on the drawing. Once you find it, remove the lead going to the living room, (don't need it) and remove the splitter itself. Connect the sat feed direct to the basement TV with a satellite quality barrel connector.

Thats the first part. Next depends on what type of satellite system you are using. We had Dish Hopper in the living room and Joeys in the bedroom and basement. I had to install a satellite signal splitter (from Dish) to send satellite signal from the incoming sat signal in the bedroom to both the bedroom and the basement and then connect Joeys at both TVs. Worked fantastic.
