Arizona RV Parks/Resorts

Patti and I would like to stay in Arizona during the month of October of this year. We have spent the better part of the day trying to narrow down our search but have not had success in narrowing down to any one RV park/resort. One site gives a park/resort great reviews and another says the same place is awful. We have not stayed in AZ before and was hoping that someone who has previously stayed in AZ could share your experience either good or not so good.

Thanks in advance

Carl and Patti

What part of Arizona?
We are in Picacho Peak resort between Tucson/Phoenix & like it so well we've bought here.
Most any of the parks/resort should be able to get you in for October as most winter seasons typically don't get started til Nov 1st.
As for reviews you'll find that on any park, you can't please everyone all the time.

Another good park is Palm Creek Golf and RV resort in Casa Grande, Az. It is also about half way between Phoenix and Tuscon. A little pricey but a very nice park.

Another good one is Pueblo El Mirage RV Resort. Ot is located just north of Phoenix. Has a 18 hole golf course and plenty of activities

We have stayed at El Mirage and liked it, only negative was the military jets fly often and are really noisy. Palm Creek in Casa Grande is our favorite. This is our third year of coming here.

I’d try the Meridian RV Resort in Apache Junction. It’s right on the border of MESA and Apache Junction. They have lots of activities there and no park models. It’s a smaller park of 250 spots or so and you can put up a gazebo for outdoor entertainment. People are great!

As a Full-timer and a resident of Arizona, I have stayed in many RV resorts.
I can help you find what you are looking for !
Please share with us 'what' your interests are, and what kind of activities you plan for your visit, for example would you like to check the famous event ....the International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta off your "bucket list" ? Happens first two weeks of October.
It is just across the eastern border of Arizona, in Albuquerque !
How about the Grand Canyon National Park? It is located in the northern part of Arizona! RV camping available both inside and outside of the park. A must see for anyone who appreciates one of the 7 wonders of the world !
Is weather a priority for you? The Monsoon rainy season is still happening in parts of Arizona in October !
Like to hike? The famous Red Rock cliffs and canyons of Sedona (60 miles south of Flagstaff is a must, for hikers and bikers with RV park just 6 miles west of town.
So it all depends on what you like to do while visiting.
Tip: Get a travel book and it will help you decide.
Hope that helps.
Raymond

We have been staying at Paradise RV Resort in Peoria/Sun City AZ for the past 7 years. The RV spaces are nice and wide and long (all back in). The park has lots to offer and October is a good month because the weather is usually beautiful. The park is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. The shopping in the area is excellent.

We hear them, but it doesn't bother us. We're not as close as El Mirage. The amount of time they fly is very minimal.

Some of the larger parks in AZ have Fall Specials, we stayed at Sunflower in Surprise. 4 months, September thro December for $1100. It is a CAL AM resort. No golf but LOTS of other activities. Jets do fly overhead but it didn’t really bother us. We were there for the 2017-2018 season.

We also stay in Paradise RV Resort. In fact, we are Irrigation's next door neighbor! We live there year round since I'm still working. Hubby is retired. But we travel as much as we can. Easy to get in and out of our space so that is really nice. Lots of activities always going on in the park.

We have wintered for several years at Pueblo El Mirage. Others are correct, the jet noise from Luke AFB, is loud and can be a deal breaker for some.

This year, we bought a lot in Surprise, at Happy Trails Resort. Jets, although audible at times, are not an issue. Nice resort, plenty of activities although we were here in November. It was quiet. Rentals are handled through surprise realty.
