Air conditioner cleaning...

Wanting to clean both air conditioners again .... Took the covers off a few months back to clean and get rid of dusty smell when they are on but to no avail getting rid of smell any suggestions on what to clean with or how besides spraying off units on roof top with a garden hose?

There's really not all that much to clean as the fins are covered fairly well by the cover. If you store under a tree, I could see the need for basic cleaning of organic debris from the A/C tray. What's this smell you speak of?

Like a dusty smell? Clean vents and returns weekly inside fifth wheel .

20160807_115711.jpgThe foam filters on mine finally were washed to death, found these at Ace Hardware for $5 & trim length to fit perfectly in the returns , just toss them when dirty.
